Meet the Artist

I’m a makeup artist with 20 years of experience and the founder of Cristina Ziemer Beauty (2015). In 2025, I rebranded as Cristina Rubio Makeup to reflect a fresh chapter in my artistry and business, while continuing to provide the same elevated experience my clients trust. Over the years, I’ve worked with more than 500 brides, as well as commercial clients ranging from Olympic and Paralympic athletes to NFL families.

My work has been featured on three Minnesota Bride covers and a Sports Illustrated cover, and I’ve partnered with brands including Hershey, General Mills, Post Cereal, Kennedy Blue, the NFL, Mayo Clinic, and Delta Airlines.

Beyond the brush, I’ve helped shape the industry itself. I played a key role in legislative reform that protects Minnesota special-event hair and makeup artists from unnecessary schooling requirements, allowing artists to build sustainable, successful careers. I’m a Minnesota Special Events Hair and Makeup Certified Provider (2020, #PP200039).

At Cristina Rubio Makeup, my goal is simple: to deliver elevated artistry and a calm, confident experience, leaving clients looking and feeling their absolute best.

    every bridal package includes a full trial to perfect your look and ensure it’s flawless for your wedding day. Trials are typically scheduled 6–8 weeks before the wedding and are confirmed once your contract is signed and $375 retainer is paid.

  • Booking your wedding is simple. Once I’ve confirmed your date is available, a signed agreement and $375 retainer secure your spot.

    From there, we’ll schedule your bridal trial and finalize all details so your wedding morning is seamless, calm, and beautiful.

  • Makeup is my focus. I can provide trusted hair artist recommendations if you’d like.

  • No problem — the second artist is included, and timing is adjusted so everyone feels relaxed and polished without rushing.

  • Yes — professional sessions and special events are fully tailored to your style and needs, with the same elevated, effortless approach as bridal work.
